The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh(CAAB) has been issuing regular recruitment circulars since last year with the objective of recruiting the newly created posts in 3/4 years. Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. BABICHAK manages the related operational activities including control of air traffic (including air traffic), various license/authorization (pilot/aircraft/airline/high-rise) activities and maintenance of all airports in the country. The sky of Bangladesh means children and air force. Apart from this, coordination among all other organizations working at the airport is also one of the most important tasks of this organization.

 CAAB is a member of the United Nations International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and follows all its international principles.

 CAAB officers are posted at a total of eight airports including the international airports of Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet and five domestic airports of Rajshahi, Barisal, Jessore, Syedpur and Cox's Bazar.  CAAB officers get salary and other allowances as per National Pay Scale-2015. Apart from this, get all the benefits that are due to government employees including pension facility, overtime facility (for employees), housing facility, transport facility (for Dhaka).  CAAB Aerodrome Officer/Assistant Engineer/Senior Officer/Safety Officer Grade IX may be promoted to Assistant Director> Deputy Director> Director> Executive Director after specified tenure.

 CAAB officers may have to undergo training from outside the country, including basic training at the Civil Aviation Training Academy. Here, the officers and employees of non-operational departments (such as admin, finance) work from 9 to 5, but the responsible officers and employees of operational departments (such as air traffic management, security) have to work day and night in turn. Positions related to Air Traffic Management require one to stay updated by researching and studying related topics.

 Aerodrome Officer/Aerodrome Assistant: Public and private places related to all aviation activities including airport terminal, runway, lighting system, air cargo, passenger passing are called aerodrome. Grade IX officers in charge of aerodrome management are called Aerodrome Officers and Grade X officers are called Aerodrome Assistants. Officers in this position usually do more work related to air traffic management and airport operations. As per the recruitment notification, Physics/Mathematics graduate/post graduate candidates can apply for this post.

Senior Officers/Security Officers: Security Officers have to pass preliminary, written and viva as well as physical and medical tests and after being appointed to the job they have to undergo basic training as well as security training. The officers of these two positions are associated with the general administration and security wing of CAAB. 

Senior officers are involved in administrative tasks and security officers are involved in aviation and aircraft security (eg preventing passengers from carrying harmful items).

Assistant/Sub-Assistant Engineers: Assistant and Sub-Assistant Engineers are generally recruited for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical (E-M) and CNS (Communication, Navigation and Surveillance) engineering departments. Runway maintenance, lighting equipment maintenance, boarding bridge, own transport maintenance, civil works, etc. are the main tasks of the engineering department.

 Accounts Assistant/Security Operator/Armed Security Guard/Office Assistant : Accounts Assistant in Grade 14 and Office Assistant in Grade 20 of the National Pay Scale generally work as administrative employees. 

On the other hand security operator in 14th grade (responsible for operating various security equipments like scanning machines, metal detectors etc.) and armed security guard in 17th grade work as security branch employees. Apart from the basic training, the employees of the security branch also have to undergo security training.
